The Utilicor KPS-8000 Keyhole Pipe Splitter is a mini-skid-steer-mounted trenchless solution engineered for efficient pipe splitting and simultaneous pipe replacement in restricted access environments. Designed for utility contractors, municipal crews, and service line specialists, the KPS-8000 enables rapid removal of existing gas and utility lines while pulling in new pipe with minimal excavation.

Compact Keyhole Trenchless Performance

The KPS-8000 is optimized for use within an 18-inch keyhole, allowing operators to complete service replacements in constrained urban and residential areas without traditional open trenching. By pairing with widely available mini-skid steers, the system brings trenchless capability directly to the jobsite with exceptional maneuverability and stability.

The KPS-8000 cleanly splits and pulls ½″ to 1″ diameter gas/water service lines — including lead, HDPE, MDPE, PVC, and aluminum — while simultaneously pulling in new pipe and tracer wire up to 125 ft (38 m) in length. The design reduces installation time and service disruption compared to conventional cut-and-dig methods.

Capabilities

A built-in winch with up to 8,000 lb (≈ 3,630 kg) pulling capacity and 3/8″ cable enables smooth and efficient splitting and installation of new pipe.

The unit has two masts for depth capabilities:

• Up to 4 ft of depth using 4-MAST configuration

• Up to 8 ft of depth using 8-MAST configuration
